Kartik Purnima is the auspicious day when Baba Maharaj Shiva Rudra Balayogi’s final five year Tapas came to an end and a Yogi disciple of Shri Shivabalayogi Maharaj emerged to serve the world and carry on the legacy of His beloved Master. Before sitting for this five year continuous Tapas, Baba Maharaj – who had joined to serve the great mission of Shri Shivabalayogi – had already spent twenty years in the Dehra Dun ashram, from 1974 to 1994, twenty years of selfless service at the lotus feet of Shri Guru Maharaj. Apart from serving at the lotus feet of Shri Swamiji Maharaj as part of sadhana and training by Shri Guru Maharaj, whenever Shri Swamiji was away from the Dehra Dun ashram, after attending to daily duties of cleaning, puja and looking after a mentally-challenged boy, Babaji used to go behind the ashram into the fruit orchard and sitting under a tree quietly unknown to the outside world would do 7 to 8 hours of deep meditation. This sadhana of service and meditation proved to be the firm foundation for Baba Maharaj’s sadhana and final five years Tapas. Below is a small message from Baba Maharaj,
“Offering prostrations with deep love and reverence at the lotus feet of beloved Guru, Swamiji Maharaj, we also pray to Swamiji to grant refuge at His lotus feet and keep me a dust at His feet. May Swamiji continue to guide in every way so that our life is useful for His mission and world. Swamiji always mentioned welfare of universe as LOKA KALYANAM.
The practice of meditation purifies the mind and consciousness uplift happens. Mind rises above the level of selfish narrow-mindedness. One unified SELF exists. May all the beings in all the world be happy. I am nothing, it is He, the great Master Shivabalayogi who is everything. I am just a tool of grace. He gave His Tapas and life for the welfare of the Universe. Guru Maharaj has graciously, given an opportunity for us to serve His mission and universe. Shri Swamiji has blessed to create an awareness amongst the people of this world to do sadhana and know themselves through meditation.
On this auspicious occasion we also remember Guru Mata Allaka Parvatamma who gave a great Yogi to this world. She was the embodiment of love, humility and simplicity who always wanted to serve devotees of Swamiji. We honour this great soul pujya Guru Mata Parvatammaji.
Swamiji Maharaj gave all His Tapas and life for the welfare of not just one family but for sake of all beings of the universe. He blessed not only humans but all creatures. He gave darshan, blessings, dhyana and sadhana without any discrimination of religion, caste or creed, of rich or poor. Shri Guru Maharaj dedicated His mission, all ashrams that He established for the welfare of the universe.
Today on this auspicious occasion we also pay our shradhanjali to pujya Mataji Kailask Kumari Devi. It was Mataji Kailash Kumari Devi who donated Dehra Dun ashram at the lotus feet of Shri Guru Maharaj with the great noble intention that people without any discrimination be benefitted to receive Shri Guru Maharaj’s grace and blessings, that this place be useful for people to come and do sadhana and be benefitted by treading on the Bhakti Marga. We remember Mataji Kailash Kumari Devi with great honour and love in our hearts of the great sacrifice of her personal property that She dedicated at the lotus feet of Shri Guru Maharaj for the welfare of this world.
May Shri Guru Maharaj bless us to be worthy to remain at His lotus feet and serve His mission and people of this universe. May all the beings be happy in all the worlds.”
