A Gantharva Maha Agni Hotra pooja for the purification of the Universe and for Universal Peace was conducted at the Maha Mariamman Temple, Bukit Indah, Johor Bharu at 7.30pm on 29 September 2018. As the temple is situated close to a housing scheme about 300 devotees participated in the prayers. The mesmerising chants during the Agni Hotra, the melodious bhajans and the added cool breeze of the night created a peaceful atmosphere in the Temple.
Annathanam was served after the pooja. As a completion of the Ghantharva Maha Agni Hotra, the Mangalaarthi was performed for Durgai Amman,the presiding diety of the temple.
